Review by Rishi Rautela

The New Frontier Greenback Dollar, the album by Kingston Trio, is a timeless classic that showcases the band's exceptional musicality and storytelling abilities. The album features a collection of folk songs that touch upon themes of love, loss, and freedom, all delivered with the Trio's signature harmonies and acoustic guitar work.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "M.T.A.", a song that tells the story of a man who gets trapped on a Boston subway train due to a fare increase. The song's catchy melody and witty lyrics have made it a staple of the folk genre and a fan favorite.

Another highlight of the album is "Greenback Dollar", a song that speaks to the American Dream and the pursuit of wealth. The Trio's harmonies and intricate guitar work make the song a joy to listen to, and the lyrics are just as relevant today as they were when the album was released in 1962.

After watching the movie Thank You for Smoking brought me here and thanks.
written by the great Hoyt Axton.  nobody wrote and sangum like Hoyt.  check him out.
thank you thank you for smoking.... years later and it brought me here
One of the greatest of the folk groups, and this song celebrates being abandoned and following your dream. Superb idealism, it was, and totally unrealistic. That was and remains its greatness and its curse. I wish I could have made my living with a guitar, never caring about that dollar. I could not. The vast majority of us cannot. But we can still dream . . .
I sang this song in front of my grandmother when it was popular. She slapped me across the room for saying "Damn".
Wow,  suddenly it's September 1963 and I'm a college freshman again! Thanks for the posting!
Sounds like Stewart is singing this one. Just sayin'
?Thank you for smoking movie, brought me here !  $$$$
SORRY everyone else that came to just listen to great music, but when I see PAID political trolling like A Lawrence below I CALL THEM OUT.
Here I am watching Thank You for Smoking and I hear this song on the closing credits. I listened to it like 3-4 times, now I'm here listening some more.
Great song.
