Review by Mónica Sofia Rodrigues

The Early Years, an album by Karl Ratzer, is a beautiful collection of his early works that showcase his immense talent as a guitarist and songwriter. The album features ten tracks that have been remastered and re-released for the first time in over 30 years.

The album takes the listener on a journey through Ratzer's early years, showcasing his growth as a musician and his ability to blend various genres of music. From the smooth jazz sounds of "The Way I Feel" to the funky grooves of "Mystic Lady," Ratzer's guitar playing is both soulful and technically impressive.

The standout track on the album is "Guitar Groove," a funky instrumental that highlights Ratzer's ability to create infectious grooves and memorable melodies. The track is a testament to Ratzer's influence on the jazz-funk genre, and it still sounds fresh and exciting today.

The guitarist on this, pictured left above, is Karl Ratzer, who from these humble beginnings became an extremely sophisticated (but unpretentious) jazz guitarist. He plays regularly in Wien now (2018). The Austrian commenters here know this, but likely few Americans do?
Best band!
Check out all the other stuff;
Panic
Slave Time.
This is super stuff man!
Raw and cool-sounding, Dang ! Garage rockers knew how to do it RIGHT in 1966. This makes The White Stripes sound like Yes.
I never knew that these guys were from Austria
Geile, geile. Grüss kloine.
aafooch koarl, excellent
Charly / 20. Bezirk, Streffleugesse!
