About Juan Capra
Juan Capra (Santiago, Chile, 1938 - April 1996) was a painter, singer and poet from Chile.
Part of Nueva Canción" movement, he learned playing guitar and singing from , and was one of the "Peña de los Parra" artists.
From 1965 to 1970 he settled in Paris, returning to Chile in 1970, but he had to exile after Pinochet coup d'Etat in 1973.

Juan Capra, artista total. Talentoso pintor, cantante y compositor. Perseguido por la dictadura y luego ignorado por los apitutados de la concerta. Murió en la calle el '96, como diría Chico Buarque, entorpeciendo el tráfico. Recibió el pago de Chile, tal como Violeta, Gitano Rodríguez, Payo Grondona, Nino García y una larga lista
Grande Juanito payando o dibujando,para nunca olvidarlo gracias a hubo en Lira , la Peña de los Parra. era su taller y alli fueron los primeros Cafe'Conciertos.
