The Argument by Ike & Tina Turner is a classic album that showcases the incredible talent and energy of this iconic duo. Released in 1960, the album features a mix of blues, R&B, and soulful ballads that highlight the range and power of Tina Turner's vocals, as well as Ike Turner's dynamic guitar playing and songwriting skills.

From the opening track, "I Don't Need," to the closing ballad, "A Fool in Love," The Argument is a tour de force of musical excellence. The songs are gritty, raw, and emotionally charged, with themes of love, heartbreak, and redemption woven throughout.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "You're My Baby," a soulful ballad that showcases Tina Turner's incredible vocal range and emotional depth. Another highlight is "Sleepless," a bluesy number that features Ike Turner's virtuosic guitar playing and a hauntingly beautiful melody.

hey you're right it is 62 very great guess that's cool guess you rock dude
question what year this record came out?
I have this record I love this song eventho its not a hit the flip side is a hit I don't even care about the flip side I love the argument no questions about it so there
the year of Ike and Tina the argument you see I look up the prices of records like James Brown , marva Whitney, any artist and record I could think of and when i see the prices of records that they are selling I wish I could send the money and get the records I want back that how I found out about the argument year of the record now you have guessed it was 62 but you wasn't quite sure when I found out the year that's when I wrote back to you and told you that was a very great guess. back at home I had a book on records and the artists but not all their records even Ike and Tina they didn't listed all their records like a fool in love , it's gonna work out fine , even river deep mountain high I found out that Ike and Tina's records on sue records didn't go very well only fool in love and it's gonna work out fine went very well Ike blamed Tina for their failed records I love the movie of Tina Turner the way the actress who played Tina and the actor who played Ike it was a great movie even tho the truth of Ike pounding Tina like ground round beef it made fans turn their backs on Ike when they saw the movie he tried to come to his defence to explane what happen between him and Tina but the damaged was done it ruined his life and career when I read that he died and the paper said he died of natural causes later I found out he died of cocaine overdose then I found out that Tina never went to his funeral I guessed she didn't give a @#$% that he's dead all she hope he riot in @#$% for all she cares.
oh by the way did you know that Mickey Baker was the voice on Ike and Tina record it's gonna work out fine not Ike's voice on the record?
I discovered on discography last month
Seems to be the first version of 'It's gonna work out fine' (released 1966)... Everything is already in this one !!
at the end of this song he tells her he is gonna give her a black eye that proves that he beats on Tina there's no ifs ands or buts about it it proves that he did beat her
This song is still heavily concerning like no one ever thought to really ask her then let alone HELP HER. Like it’s sickening and sad, she deserves everything and more plus extra. I just mind blowing this song was ever recorded and Sue Records released it
He wants to hit her upside the head and give her a black eye. Disturbing that is what really occurred.
It funny when you listen to this song everything that Ike was singing in this song was really what he was doing to Tina I was laughing but then it dawn on me this man was really doing this to her what a shame they singing it but it true
Funny. The lyrics have Ike asking her to tell him what's on her mind. She says nothing. In her book, the same thing took place. Except Ike punched her hard because he thought she was messing with him. This song is kinda creepy.
He wanted his abuse to be seen and he wanted his music to be listened to now this song is really weird to listen to because he's talking about physically giving her a beating giving her a black eye he had no shame and physically abusing Tina or any other woman for that matter
Okay the last sentence when Ike said "I just might give you a black eye" is so weird because at the time nobody knew what was going on
They made a song called the argument? Sort of an understatement..right?
Thank You Very Much
