About Hans Kennemark

Swedish violin player, troubadour and composer, born February 24, 1965 in Sandhem. He is a " riksspelman" since 1985, on västgötalåtar. He plays solo and in the groups Tritonus, Gunnel Mauritzon Band, Septentrio and in the trio Nordik Tree together with the Finnish musicians Arto Järvelä and Timo Alakotila. Kennemark was one of the members of Bäsk and Forsmark Tre. Since 1990, Kennemark has been teaching at the Sjövikskursen - Låtar på Västgötska - the folk music course for young people held one week each summer at Sjöviksgården in Sjövik, Västergötland. He regularly teaches at the University of Gothenburg's School of Stage and Music. He has written a folk music mass, "I välsignan och fröjd" and a requiem, "Nu är en dag framliden
