Purgatory, the latest album by Gordon Crosse, is a masterpiece of contemporary classical music. The album features seven compositions that showcase Crosse's exceptional talent and creativity as a composer.
The album opens with "Garden of Earthly Delights," a piece that immediately grabs the listener's attention with its haunting melody and intricate harmonies. The piece builds to a dramatic climax before resolving with a peaceful coda.
"Five Pieces for Piano" is another standout track on the album. The pieces are short but powerful, each one exploring a different mood and emotion. The pianist, Matthew Schellhorn, delivers a flawless performance, bringing out the nuances of each piece.
