Einstürzende Neubauten's album 9 15 2000 Brussels is a powerful and dynamic exploration of the band's unique sonic landscape. The album features a range of industrial, experimental, and avant-garde sounds, all expertly crafted and blended to create a truly immersive listening experience.
From the opening track "Was Ist Ist" to the haunting closer "NNNAAAMMM," the album is a masterclass in atmospheric tension and release. The band's signature use of found objects and unconventional instruments is on full display, with everything from metal pipes to power tools used to create a cacophonous yet controlled wall of sound.
One standout track is "Dead Friends (Around the Corner)," which features a haunting spoken-word performance by lead singer Blixa Bargeld. The track builds slowly, with layers of sound and emotion building to a powerful climax that is both cathartic and unsettling.

About Einstürzende Neubauten
Experimental German group, formed in West Berlin in 1980. The band is notable for predominantly using custom built instruments constructed out of scrap metal and power tools.
Their name in English literally means "Collapsing New Buildings," where "New Buildings" describes a type of architecture common in post-WWII Germany (large concrete box-style buildings) and "Collapsing" is an adjective in this context, not a verb.
