Eddie Condon - Thats A Serious Thing

Eddie Condon's album "That's A Serious Thing" is a delightful collection of jazz classics that showcases the legendary musician's talents as a guitarist and bandleader. With a lineup of top-notch musicians, including trumpeter Wild Bill Davison, clarinetist Pee Wee Russell, and pianist Gene Schroeder, Condon leads the band through a series of swinging tunes that are sure to please jazz fans of all stripes.
The album opens with the rollicking "That's A Serious Thing," a tune that sets the tone for the rest of the record with its driving rhythm and infectious melody. Other highlights include the bluesy "I Ain't Gonna Give Nobody None of My Jelly Roll," the laid-back "Riverboat Shuffle," and the energetic "At The Jazz Band Ball." Throughout the album, Condon's guitar playing is tasteful and inventive, providing the perfect accompaniment to the other musicians in the band.
