The album Dragonslayer by Dream Evil is a powerful and energetic collection of heavy metal anthems that showcase the band's impressive musicianship and songwriting abilities. From the blistering guitar riffs and thunderous drums of the opening track "Chasing the Dragon" to the soaring melodies and epic choruses of "Fire! Battle! In Metal!", this album is a true feast for fans of classic metal.

Dream Evil's signature sound is a blend of classic heavy metal and power metal, with influences ranging from Iron Maiden and Judas Priest to Helloween and Blind Guardian. Dragonslayer is a must-have album for fans of classic heavy metal and power metal. Dream Evil have once again proven themselves to be one of the most talented and creative bands in the genre, and this album is sure to be a favorite among metalheads for years to come.

Swedish band Dream Evil were founded by several older musicians who chose to ride the Power/Speed Metal phenomenon sorted out at the end of the 90's: at the time of their formation, their members included guitarist Konstantinos Karamitroudis , Swedish multi-instrumentalist Snowy Shaw, two members of Pure X and renowned producer/multi-instrumentalist Fredrik Nordstrom, who played keyboards on many major metal bands of the 90's, including Opeth, Dark Tranquillity and Arch Enemy. The band's debut album DragonSlayer is a typical Power Metal offering that was common to find in 2002: all the songs are D-tuned Hard Rock/Classic Metal stompers with occasional up-tempo paces (opener "Chasing the Dragon" is written in Drop C, while "Losing You" is an E-minor dramatic ballad). The offering of the band isn't special in any way, but can go well for fans of the genre.Highlights: "The Prophecy".

Listened to this song many years ago, and my son is 7 now, and goes around the house saying "I sacrifice my blood" My wife is angry at me, but I know I'm raising a future dragon slayer.
