Review by Антон Палихов

Dramatis' album "I Can See Her Now" is a masterpiece of the new wave genre. The band's blend of electronic sounds and rock instrumentation creates a unique and captivating sound that is both nostalgic and modern. The album's standout tracks, including "Love Needs No Disguise" and "Ex Luna Scientia," showcase the band's ability to create catchy and memorable hooks backed by intricate arrangements. The album's themes of love, loss, and longing are explored through poetic lyrics that are both introspective and relatable. "I Can See Her Now" is a must-listen for fans of new wave and anyone looking for a fresh take on the genre.

About Dramatis

Dramatis were a British synthpop band from the early 1980s. Chris Payne (vocals, keyboards), Rrussell Bell (guitars, keyboards), Cedric Sharpley (drums), and Denis Haines (keyboards) were all originally members of Gary Numan's backing band. They formed Dramatis following Numan's announced retirement in April 1981. The original incarnation released seven singles and one album before disbanding in 1982. Two of their singles reached the UK Singles Chart: the 1981 single with Numan "Love Needs No Disguise" which reached number 33, and the 1982 single "I Can See Her Now" which reached number 57. The band was put on hold as the members were invited back into Numan's band at the end of 1982. In 2020 Rrussell Bell and Chris Payne rebooted the band to release new material.

Love it
These guys were so underestimated and deserved massive success, thanks for the music guys..
this should have been a huge hit, what a great classic 80's anthem.
We will all miss you ced

Cedric sharpley forever in our hearts and souls??
Wow I luv this song !! Russell has a great voice , R.I.P. Cedric Sharpley amazing drummer , taken to soon , but never forgotten... I have the album For Future Reference , to me it is an amazing piece of history , as I have been a Gary Numan fan since 1979, and always will be .. they were all brilliant together .. the best memories!! Does anyone know what ever happened to Denis Haines? Stay safe everyone!! All the best in 2022, with luv from Toronto, Canada ??. LA ??? ♥️ I need to go look for my Dramatis album ...
Nothing special: a confused mix between new wave and the older melodic-progressive (like Supertramp or Asia or Toto). Gary Numan was made of another stuff (but at the time he too was losing his way).
IT'S PRETTY GOOD...
Did not know Cedric played keys...
So lucky to see DRAMATIS at the Granary club Bristol, awesome gig!
Ouch, this sucks.
sorry guys major fail as old as it is
fook  its shite]
i'm gutted to hear ced passed away. I've lost track of a lot of things over the years due to depression. god bless him. R.I.P CEDRICK. you were one of the best. I'm glad I had the chance to meet him. xxxxxx
Personally my favourite Dramatis track is called The Shame, and the 12" extended version is awesome!
The second half is fine, but the first half wasn't really up to being released as a single.

Still, I really love their For Future References album, especially Turn, Turn...
Rest in peace Ced... so sad just see this bad article :( Im sure people loved your rhythm :)
RIP Cedric Sharpley. Your drum pattern to films will be remembered for all eternity.
The bass and drums for Pleasure Principle are now both in heaven. God bless.
Great musicians but no artists.
Really sad to hear ced has passed away. R.I.P CED.
I've always been a fan of Dramatis; too bad this isn't one of their better songs (but it's better than "Lady DJ"); "I Only Find Rewind" would have been a better choice.

Still, great to see Rrussell, Chris, and Ced together.
What do you mean "session musicians" they damn well played hundreds of live concerts and were fucking fantastic, could play just about any instrument from classical to rock and would piss over 99.9% of musicians in the charts today.
this is really not the best number dramatis have made...but where is dennis haines?
