The two lead singers (also twin sisters) Paulette & Claudette Patterson were former members of the group Prediction, a 6-7 piece Soul / Lovers Rock group in the early eighties. In 1985, the two girls decided to form themselves into a duo called Dazzle and signed to Jam Today Records, also home to Keni Stevens and Projection, a label created by Andy Sojka, a former member of Atmosfear and the creator of Elite Records, the label that first signed Level 42.
They had success on the UK soul scene with there 12" single Dazzle You taken from there debut album Soul Sisters in 1989, which led to the girls touring the UK performing the track in clubs, giving interviews on regional radio stations. On their travels the girls shared the bill with acts like Omar and Gwen Guthrie, such was the success of there debut, Jam Today commissioned a second album in 1991 called 'On Second Thoughts' there final release as Dazzle.
On June 15, 2007 at approx. 4.00pm, Paulette Patterson passed away, born on June 11, 1963, she had just celebrated her 44th birthday. Paulette was an amazing singer and songwriter and, fortunately, she will live on through the great music that Dazzle made.
