Review by Brian Patrick

In Concert by Dave Mason is an exceptional live album that features some of the most iconic songs of his career. The album captures the essence of Mason's live performances and showcases his ability to connect with his audience through his music.

The album features well-known tracks such as "Only You Know and I Know" and "Feelin' Alright," which are performed with great energy and passion by Mason and his band. The live setting adds a special dimension to these classic tracks, and the audience's participation adds to the overall atmosphere of the album.

The album also features some lesser-known tracks such as "Every Woman" and "Take It to the Limit," which are equally impressive in their execution. Mason's guitar work is particularly noteworthy on these tracks, and his vocals are as strong as ever.

About Dave Mason

English singer-songwriter and guitarist born May 10, 1946 in Worcester, UK. Co-founder of seminal group , Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee. Mason's tenure with Traffic was disjointed. He was a founding member of the group, but left following the release of their debut album, Mr. Fantasy (1967), only to rejoin halfway through the sessions for their next album, Traffic (1968), after which he left again. Last Exit (1969), a compilation of odds and ends, features little material by Mason apart from his song "Just for You". Traffic later re-formed without Mason, although he briefly began working with the band for a third time, touring with them in 1971 and playing on Welcome to the Canteen. In his brief spells with the group, Mason never quite fit in; Steve Winwood later recalled. In 1970, Mason was slated to be the second guitarist for Derek and the Dominos. He played on their early studio sessions, including the Phil Spector production of "Tell the Truth

Holy shite I was 16 or 17, prob 17
Mike working his ass off -
What's the current setlist?
Does anybody know where this concert was? San Diego, Community Civic Center?
What a lineup! Mike Finnigan on keyboards, Bob Glaub on bass, Rick Jaeger on drums and Jim Krueger on guitar. I saw Dave with this band twice, it was among the best shows that I've ever seen! Dave Mason wrote so many great songs but its ironic that his biggest hit as a solo artist, We Just Disagree, was written by Jim Krueger. Kruger was a great guitarist, Dave knew how to pick 'em!
Just saw him in ocean city, NJ - it was spectacular!! Rip Mike ?
Saw you perform live in '76 at the Allentown, Pa fairgrounds. Some concerts are memorable because they were a complete disappointment. Some just faded in time. Some were memorable because of how good they were. I remember the crowd's response, and you definitely fell into the latter category. Thanks for the memories Dave. Where did the time go?
Who is playing guitar with Dave? I'm almost sure I recognize him.
love
I always enjoy peering through the looking-glass into times past. The clothing and hair styles from some four decades ago may have changed (or vanished altogether, grin), but the music is still every bit as enjoyable. Thanks, Dave, for a lifetime of creativity and work.
Dave, you are one of the all time great guitarists & songwriters & singers.May we here a lot more from you.
I saw Dave Mason 13 times, In 1974 I saw him at the spectrum in Philadelphia. I believe on keyboards is Mike Finnegan. Also saw Dave Mason play play with a version of Fleetwood Mac In the mid nineties.
If I'm not mistaken this was originally broadcast on PBS Soundstage. I was about 13 years old and watched it. I became a lifelong Dave Mason fan after hearing You Can't Take it When You Go, It's too bad the rest of the program isn't available though. I'm pretty sure it was 60 minutes.
