Summary by Keith Rowley

We Are Paintermen is a must-listen for fans of 1960s rock music and anyone who wants to experience the magic of the psychedelic era. The album is a timeless classic that still sounds fresh and exciting over 50 years after its initial release. Creation may have been a short-lived band, but their legacy lives on through this incredible album.

Comments

A decent album almost in the upper echelon of more famous English beat groups. Playing is memorable and skillful, compositional qualities are not on the top of the game - although you can hear the catchy "We are paintermen". Cover versions are a flop so focus on the original songs.

Always a thrill hearing this band. I prefer their songs over The Who or other groups of their time. I also like The Sorrows and The Factory. All of which, got no press or push in the U.S. . We found out a few years after the fact through import records. Thank goodness for all the head shops that sold them out of their back stock rooms.
Oh yeah man great stuff ??
Jimmy Page stole the Violin Bow Guitar routine from Eddie Phillips ... Eddie was the FIRST to do it ...
Eddie Phillips one of the unsung guitar heroes.
great album
how does it feel
'Biff, Bang, Pow' is such an invigorating song!
'Painterman' is a perfect 60s pop song with superb lyrics. It should have been a No 1. There's so much luck and serendipity in the pop business and a lot of gems become lost while other shite inexplicably ends up scoring.
COOL ALBUM, sorry big newbie to me
Wonderfull group, I didn't know them before
Making time sounds like I can't explain by the who?
Perhaps the greatest band nobody's heard of.
a three year old could write a better song than tom tom
making time is great but the rest is very average
what a gem of an album.... heard making time before... love Through My eyes!!! wow!!!!
Paintermen?
The first song is ''Cool Jerk'' , originally by the Capitols on Atlantic records, worth listening to.
OMG, an essential album!
Wooooohh wooooooohh wooooooh . I love those backing voices in their choruses. CLASS act The Creation.
Some interesting covers and overall great sound!
Who were these guys? Seems like one of those Small Faces/Mod-era bands that didn't go very far but may have had a member or two that went on to do great things...am I right?
