Born To Sing is the debut studio album by American country music artist Connie Smith, released in 1966. The album showcases Smith's powerful vocals and her ability to convey emotion through her singing.
From the opening track, "Once a Day," which became Smith's first number one hit, to the closing ballad, "The Threshold," the album is a masterclass in traditional country music. Smith's voice is the star of the show, but the arrangements and instrumentation complement her singing perfectly.
The album also features some lesser-known gems, such as "I Can't Remember," which showcases Smith's ability to convey heartbreak, and "Ribbon of Darkness," a haunting ballad that highlights her range and control.
