About Cold Chisel
Formed in 1974, Cold Chisel achieved massive success in Australia with their brand of working class themed pub rock. Despite several attempts they could not translate their success internationally. They broke up in 1983.
They did reunite to record an Album in 1998 and to tour in 1999 and 2003. In early March, 2011, the band issued press statements that following the death of drummer Steve Prestwich, the drummer's role for expected releases in future Chisels' releases would be performed by Charley Drayton, realised with their 2012 album No Plans.

The Perfect Crime feels like Chisel's first truly group effort for years and boasts some strong songwriting particularly on the first half of the album.While the music is strong however, the band are yet to rediscover the pop smarts that infused songs like 'My Baby', "When the War Is Over' and 'Saturday Night'. Indeed only 'Lost' makes some headway in that direction and that song is buried at the end of the album! Some editions of the album are rounded out with bonus tracks 'Blue Flame' and the jazzy Ian Moss sung 'Romantic Lies', tracks which-while not essential per se- certainly don't mitigate the quality overall. The latter in particular offering a pleasingly chilled vibe in the vein of "The Party's Over'.
Dons original kills this & so does his album.
Fabulous - Cold Chisel LOVE
Don Walker's solo stuff eclipses this chisel album...it's terrible to have to admit but this is lame in comparison
