Choir of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. First referred to by this name in 1513 during the tenure of Pope Julius II.
This choir sings for all solemn functions of the Vatican Chapter when the Pope himself is not present ( is instead used when the Pope attends)
The choir was disbanded in 1980 and re-established in 2006.
