About The Capris
Philadelphia area teenage doowop quintet who are not to be confused with their more famous namesakes from Queens, NY. Formed in 1953, The Capris were comprised of , Charlie Stroud, Eddie Warner, Harrison Scott, and Bobby Smart. Lead singer Charlie Stroud was replaced by 14-year old in 1954. The group's greatest success came with the release of "God Only Knows," in 1954. The group disbanded in 1958.

A really, truly good song.
I was 12 when this record was recorded. Iam now 78 and never thought I would ever hear it again. It always remained somewhere in my memory although I forgot who recorded it. The dawn of Doo Wop was there ever a better time ?

Just change the title
A very raw recording! Before all of the editing and sound effects were added to music. You can hear, especially in the start of the song, someone clearing their throat several times. You can hear that one male backup singer overpowering the other backup singers. Nice tune!
