The Buddy Johnson Orchestra was a popular R&B based band, primarily active during the immediate post war years.
With Buddy's sister Ella serving for decades, as his primary vocalist, pianist enjoyed tremendous success during the 1940s and '50s, visiting the R&B charts often.
