Review by Sam Vick

Bob Braun's album "Sings" is a masterpiece of classic pop music that showcases his incredible vocal range and talent as a performer. With a mix of timeless standards and original compositions, Braun delivers a heartfelt and soulful performance that is sure to please fans of all ages.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "I'm Gonna Live Till I Die," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Braun's smooth and effortless vocals are perfectly suited for the swinging rhythms and jazzy melodies of the songs.

Throughout the album, Braun shows his versatility as a singer, effortlessly transitioning from ballads like "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" to more up-tempo numbers like "The Lady Is a Tramp." His renditions of classics like "The Way You Look Tonight" and "I've Got You Under My Skin" are simply stunning, and showcase his remarkable ability to breathe new life into old favorites.

But it's not just the covers that make this album so special. Braun's original compositions like "You're the One" and "Love Is All There Is" are equally impressive, showcasing his skills as both a songwriter and performer.

This reminds me of 'Fernwood Tonight.' Staring Martin Mull, and Fred Willard.
Bob Braun, along with Ruth Lyons and Paul Dixon, benefited from having a mini network in the Midwest. at one time WLWT had affiliates in Dayton (WLW-D), Columbus (WLW-C) and Indianapolis (WLW-I) that would run the shows, plus other stations would buy into a syndicated version (for Paul Dixon's show it was a 60-minute tape rather than the full 90-minute show)
Watched this with my mother in the early 70s. She loved this quality show. Was aired on one of the Indianapolis stations. Thanks for the memories.
