Bibi Ferreira, Abigail Izquierdo Ferreira pseudonym (Salvador, June 10, 1922 - Rio de Janeiro, February 13, 2019) was an actress, singer, director and composer in Brazil.
She is the daughter of actor Procopio Ferreira and the Spanish dancer Aida Izquierdo. Bibi don't knows the day he was born. The mother said she was born on June 1, his father said that the date was June 4, but his birth certificate is dated June 10.
He made his theatrical debut at 24 days, sunny morning in the play, written by Oduvaldo Vianna, replacing a doll that had disappeared just before the start of the show. Soon after the parents separated and Bibi went to live with her mother, who was working in the Company Velasco, a theater company of the Spanish magazine. His first language, even four years, was Spanish. The Portuguese language and the great love of opera she would learn from his father.
Back in Brazil, became the most celebrated child actor in Rio de Janeiro. He joined the Corps de Ballet of the Teatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro, where he remained for a long time, until his father's debut in the company. At nine years has been denied enrollment in Sion College, in Orange, being the daughter of a theater actor. He completed his secondary education at the Colegio Anglo American and perfected ballet studies in Buenos Aires at the Teatro Colon
His professional debut on stage was in 1941 when he played "Mirandolina" in the play La Locandiera. In 1944 he formed his own theater company, bringing together some of the most important names of Brazilian theater, as Cacilda Becker, Maria Della Costa and director Henriette Morineau. A little later, went to Portugal, where he directed plays for four years with great success.
