Alpha's 1997 album, The Impossible Thrill, is a mesmerizing and atmospheric work that showcases the duo's unique blend of trip-hop, ambient, and electronica. From the opening track, "A Perfect End," the listener is transported to a dreamlike world of lush soundscapes and haunting melodies.
The album's standout track, "Sometime Later," features a hypnotic beat and ethereal vocals that combine to create a sense of otherworldliness. "Wise" is another standout, with its haunting piano melody and atmospheric sound effects.

It's a sequel to Sometime Later... Same singer, same rhythm, same atmosphere. ?? Frankly, very very pretty, it is a poem of excellent quality. The majestic tenderness in Barnard sauce... How good that time of Alpha was.
