The Pink Family - Just Ordinary People

Review by Igweh Donald

Just Ordinary People is an album by Pink Family that showcases their unique blend of folk and rock music. The album is a refreshing departure from the typical pop music that dominates the airwaves. The songs are thoughtful and introspective, with lyrics that explore the complexities of human emotions.

The album opens with the title track, "Just Ordinary People," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a melodic and uplifting anthem that celebrates the beauty of ordinary life. The album then moves into "Broken Dreams," a haunting ballad that explores the pain of lost love.

Other standout tracks include "Lost in Time," a contemplative song about the passage of time, and "The Road Ahead," a hopeful and optimistic track that encourages listeners to keep moving forward. The album closes with the poignant "Goodbye," a tribute to loved ones who have passed away.

Gilles Peterson played this in his set when he was in Auckland 2018. Lost my shit when I heard it playing!
They are a wonderful family group , I had the honour of meeting them and seeing them play at a church in Berowra NSW many years ago and have their signed record , truly blessed by this experience ?
Hear this occasionally on 3PBS in Melbourne.

It's like some 70's mega-hit has been hiding away all these years.

Love this album. My family used to own it and we even saw these guys in concert. Wish there was some way of getting a CD of this. Our old vinyl record is long gone.

Thanks for this video! They visited our school in Dalby (Australia) in the mid 70's. It was my first concert :)
