Moving Hearts - Live In Dublin

Review by Lindsay Maddox

Live In Dublin is a fantastic album by the Irish folk rock band Moving Hearts. The record captures the energy and passion of the band's live performances, showcasing their unique blend of traditional Irish music, rock, jazz, and world music.

The album kicks off with the lively and upbeat "Irish Ways and Irish Laws," setting the tone for the rest of the record. The band's virtuosic musicianship is on full display throughout the album, with standout performances from Davy Spillane on uilleann pipes and saxophone, Eoghan O'Neill on bass, and Donal Lunny on bouzouki and guitar.

One of the highlights of the album is the epic 16-minute version of "The Lark," which features stunning solos from each member of the band. The hauntingly beautiful "May Morning Dew" and the poignant "Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Russian Roulette" also stand out as highlights.
