Funk formation from Memphis, Tennessee, starting their career in the early 70's under the name Ebony Web with founding members , , and . In the mid 70's they disbanded. With new members the group emerged again as Ebonee Webb and became successful in Africa, Canada and Japan. In the late 70's they made 2 albums which were released in Japan only. 3 of the original members went on to form the band . Finally in the early 80's Ebonee Webb made 2 acclaimed US boogie funk albums on Capitol.
