Review by monikah adeniken

The album Oboenkonzerte by Johann Gottlieb Graun Johann Christian Bach, Burkhard Glaetzner, Kammerorchester Berlin, Max Pommer is a delightful classical music experience. The album features several oboe concertos composed by Graun and Bach, and performed by the talented oboist Burkhard Glaetzner, accompanied by the Kammerorchester Berlin under the baton of Max Pommer.

The album showcases the virtuosity and expressive range of the oboe, and Glaetzner's performance is nothing short of impressive. He brings out the nuances and subtleties of each piece, capturing the emotional essence of the music. The Kammerorchester Berlin provides a solid and supportive accompaniment, adding depth and texture to the overall sound.

The album begins with Graun's Oboe Concerto in C minor, which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its dramatic and melancholic mood. Other highlights include Bach's Oboe Concerto in F major, which features a lively and joyful melody, and Graun's Oboe Concerto in B-flat major, which showcases Glaetzner's technical skills with its challenging runs and arpeggios.
