Earl Thomas Conley - Smokey Mountain Memories

Review by Kimberley Deutsch

Smokey Mountain Memories by Earl Thomas Conley is a delightful album that captures the essence of traditional country music. The album is a tribute to the mountains and the people who reside there, and Conley's voice brings the songs to life with his signature twang and heartfelt delivery.

The album features 10 tracks, each one a gem in its own right. From the upbeat "Country Music Weekend" and "Brotherly Love" to the more introspective "Love Don't Care" and "Holding Her and Loving You," Conley's vocals never falter, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish.

One of the standout tracks on the album is the title track, "Smokey Mountain Memories." Conley's voice is perfectly suited to the nostalgic lyrics, and the song's gentle melody is simply beautiful.

If you were to ask me what my favorite Earl Thomas Conley song is, the only answer I could give you is, I don't really have a favorite. Earl Thomas Conley has done so many great songs over the years, it would be hard to pick a favorite. He was one of those country artists who recorded one great song after another. It's still so hard to believe he's no longer with us. I miss him.
??? Wonderful Song. RIP Earl Thomas Conley. Thanks
RIP Earl........you wrote my life. Met him and John Conlee in person in Hattiesberg, Mississipi at a concert in 2006. Two country music greats.

Up in minnesota earl thomas is the shit too!!!
Makes the hair on my arm stick up and my eyes tear up.... for all the times I sang this song referring to my first (and now my third wife - same beautiful person!!) I left her and my three kids for another woman because I thought I deserved better. She waited for me for 18 long and lonely years. Now we are back together with our three kids and seven Grandkids all living in our home town! There is a God!
Spent a fortune in quarters playing this song on the Jukebox!
