Review by Piñero

The album Hockey Night In Canada Come Up To Canada by BrothersInLaw is a perfect tribute to the Canadian spirit of ice hockey. The album is a collection of 12 tracks that celebrate the passion, energy, and excitement of the game. The music is a blend of rock, blues, and country, with catchy melodies, foot-tapping rhythms, and soulful lyrics.

The album opens with the title track "Hockey Night in Canada," a high-energy rock anthem that captures the excitement of the game. The song features soaring guitar riffs, pounding drums, and anthemic vocals that make it a perfect stadium sing-along. Other standout tracks include "The Great One," a tribute to Wayne Gretzky, the legendary hockey player, and "O Canada," a stirring rendition of the Canadian national anthem.

BrothersInLaw's music is a perfect match for the game of ice hockey, with its fast-paced rhythms and driving beats. The band's tight musicianship and powerful vocals make every track on the album a joy to listen to. The lyrics are also well-crafted, capturing the passion and emotion of the game and the Canadian culture that surrounds it.

Comments

Originally 4 cops from Windsor, not the first job I associate with folk music. "Toronto the Good" is one of my favourites.
Dear Alec..your songs comprised a vital part of my childhood...I remember taking this album into my grade 3 class for show and tell, it didn't go over well..and then being forced to wait outside the teachers' lounge while my teacher listen and howled with laughter. Thank you so much for posting here.. you made my day, week and year!!
Thanks katydid - whoever you are, and bless you - this is from Alec Somerville, now 82yrs old an' oughter know better... living in Ireland and still picking and writing and singing. This song is in the Canadian Sports Music Hall of Fame - and we had the pleasure of singing it in the intermission in place of Ward Cornelll's Hot Stove League at Maple Leaf Gardens at an NHL game. Good Friend Bob passed away, as did ex-member Howard Duffy, but I see Larry Reaume when I go to Canada every year.
