Review by Erin Schaefer

Donovan's album Hurdy Gurdy Man Jennifer Juniper is a beautiful blend of folk, psychedelic rock, and pop. The album features some of Donovan's most popular songs, including the title track "Hurdy Gurdy Man" and "Jennifer Juniper." The melodic and catchy tunes are accompanied by Donovan's signature fingerpicking style on the guitar and his unique vocals. The album also features a mix of instruments, including sitar, flute, and bongos, which add to the overall ethereal and dreamy sound of the album. The lyrics are poetic and introspective, reflecting Donovan's interest in spirituality and nature. Hurdy Gurdy Man Jennifer Juniper is a timeless classic that showcases Donovan's talent as a songwriter and musician.

Very beautiful.
My name is Jennifer. My big sister bought me the 45 of this song when I was a little girl. Around 4 or 5yrs old. One night she dressed me up like a little hippie and she and her friend took me to a Donovan concert. I remember vendors selling glass blown daisies with wire stems and all colors of silly string cascading down from the upper levels. It was magical.
And he came out and sat on the stage and he opened the show with this song. This was before I was old enough to realize that many people had the same name. LoL So I thought he sang it for me. Hahaha!! Ahh the mind of a child... lol Still, that night, I felt very special! I still love this song. Both for its beautiful sound, lyrics and the wonderful memories it invokes. Thank you to my big sister, Suzanne for that! ❤️
This is such a sweet and lovely song. <3
Had to come over to hear Jennifer Jupiter while watching 'Jenny Boyd! Stories of the Sixties' here on YT.
When my daughter came home from college with an eight year old kitty and told me her name is Juniper--I started singing this song. Really sticks with you and a great song from my childhood.
I was named after this song. My father thought I would be a boy and wanted to name me James. My Mom heard this song on the way to the hospital and said if it's a girl, her name will be Jennifer.
Beautifule
I think I am Mamés after this song, as are many women of this era!
It's in the best movie-- Election!
very good ~~~!!!
Donavan has a voice that is quite distinct. His style in not matched. Don't even try. Give the man a hurdy gurdy for Christmas. The folks in Glasgow might love to hear it playing at a public square or in a big parade.

what great production went into these simple splendid tunes ....
Donovan has such a wonderful and soothing voice
When I finally snap mentally, I want this song to be the soundtrack of my killing spree as I wildly swing my axe while wearing a bunny suit.... ?
Donovan is on the acid ?
Saw this guy in concert. Just him and his guitar. One of the best I’ve been to.
Ode to Jenny Boyd.
I was five when this song came out. I absolutely loved it then; such a sweet, gentle song with lots of dreamy, peaceful imagery in the lyrics. Still love it today. It's a classic for the ages.
