About Me: Brandon Chambers joined the WHNT News 19 team in June 2011. Brandon was born and raised in Oklahoma, but his roots run deep in the South. In fact, his grandfather was born here in the Tennsessee Valley in Decatur. Brandon holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and was a meteorologist for a TV station in Oklahoma City for 7 years before moving to the Tennessee Valley. His time in Tornado Alley--where he covered weather ranging from destructive tornadoes and hail to ice storms and blizzards--prepared him well for the wild weather of Dixie Alley. A lot has happened for Brandon since moving to Huntsville. It was here he met WHNT's anchor/investigative reporter Carrie Marchese. The two were married on the Amalfi Coast of Italy in 2013 and welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Branson, in 2014.
