- About Me: Steve Mayer has extensive international experience as he has traveled to and assessed development projects in over 20 different countries such as Rwanda, Burundi, South Africa, Guatemala, Haiti, China, India, Burma, and Thailand. He has helped to start an international clean water organization called 20 Liters that currently operates in Rwanda. Additionally, he has worked closely on the program development and funding side of numerous domestic initiatives. Steve's experience has refined his ability to evaluate program effectiveness. In his work for a large church that strategically funds local and international projects, he has seen first hand the gap between stated impact and actual outcomes. He brings passion and expertise to the task of finding and funding organizations that have closed that gap. Inspired by his experiences, Steve returned to school for his second Masters Degree to develop the tools for monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness. He received his 2nd Masters degree in International Development Administration with a concentration in Monitoring and Evaluation at Western Michigan University in 2010. Steve received his BA from Cornerstone University in 2002 and a Masters degree from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2004. He currently lives in Grand Rapids Michigan with his wife Gabrielle and their son Søren.
