About Me: I am passionate about experiencing unique adventures in wild landscapes. My passion stems from the desire to share these experiences in hopes of empowering or inspiring others to get out and get wild. My journey in life started in Portland, OR in the shadow of Mt. Hood. I have been preoccupied by mountains ever since growing up in the Pacific Northwest. Their beauty mesmerizes me, their glaciers draw my attention and the outdoor recreation they harbor gets my blood pumping. Climbing, skiing and backpacking have been favorite pastimes as well as paddling the rivers that flow from their beautiful slopes. My passions for wilderness started off with my outdoor pursuits. As those hobbies grew into more of a lifestyle, I realized how important the idea of wilderness is and how important it is was for my soul to get out and connect to these wild spaces. Like many others, the natural world inspires me and it is a place where I seek spiritual refuge. Our connections with nature and the roles that we play within the natural world help define us as human beings. It is our ancestral past, our present and our future. It is my goal to help facilitate relationships between people and their natural surroundings. The more we know about nature the more we learn about ourselves.
