About Me: I excel at everything I purposefully set out to do. I've been at the top of every class, and sales/productivity leader-board of every kind by putting my heart and soul into it every step of the way.
I only have two strategies: sincerely caring about the people I come in contact with, and working harder than anyone else. I believe there is no better business strategy than putting clients first, and not just in a business sense, but more importantly personally. It works because people are more than sales or numbers. No matter how hard people try to separate business and personal life and interactions, we are all people, all day, every day, even on weekdays.
Recognizing the objects of your ambition as people works great in sales, but even better in management. All too often managers ending up treating subordinates as, well, subordinates. It's a fine line, but humans are humans, though our job responsibilities may vary.
Treating subordinates as equal, interesting, intrinsically valuable people, each with skills and abilities to bring to the table that our team needs, has been key to leading every team I've managed to the top in every category. The teams I've had the pleasure of working with have consistently beat every sales goal, productivity benchmark, and expectation set. And we do it all while enjoying to be working along side one another, resulting in record high morale (anonymously surveyed) at some of the largest companies in the USA.
Indeed I have succeeded at everything I've set out to do in personal and business endeavors. Except, of course, the things I've failed at, sometimes miserably. Which have taught me the most valuable lessons of all. Wisdom learned from failure can not be taught or learned any other way. Nor can they be quantified, but to me, they are by far the most valuable. Compassion is critical to connecting with people from all walks of life. To truly see others without judgement, means clearing the fog that separates people and hides their talents. This holds value in everything.
To come full circle, connecting with the great people I'm fortunate to come in contact with is at the heart of all my most substantial business accomplishments. I care about my clients, referral partners, and business partners as individuals with much more to offer than sales, rungs on a ladder, the connections they can offer me, or mere stones to step on in pursuit of my own goals. My focus is rarely on my own ambitions, but rather sincerely focused on improving the lives of those I associate with, sometimes to my own detriment and at times viewed as a weakness, but in the big picture the secret to my successes and my biggest strength.
