- About Me: I am Nakia Y. Quarles, CWP ~ the Executive A&R of Entertainment Management for Metal 2 Music Records (Carlsbad, NM) and Certified Wedding & Events Planner and Owner of ~N~ Motion Events. I started with Metal 2 Music as the East Coast Affiliate Event & Entertainment Management Liaison, combining my skills and knowledge from my event planning business and my extensive knowledge in the hotel/tourism industry with entertainment management. Soon after, I began to Talent Scout for the label, seeking artists for airplay, interviews, and roster consideration. Under the very structured guiding and mentorship of Metal 2 Music Executive, Franz "Sincere" Ates, I advanced into a Music Business Consultant, an Artist Development Representative, Artist Management, and the current position as Executive A&R of Entertainment Management. I also handle promotions, marketing, and advertising for the label. Twice weekly, I conduct live interviews with guest, as a host or co-host on Independent Everything, our globally produced blog talk radio show. I am in charge of acquiring artists and entrepreneurs for live interviews. Responsible also for the overseeing of all communications between artists and Metal 2 Music Records to ensure airtime runs smoothly. The creating of the episodes for the show and running of the dashboard is done by me also. Every Saturday evening, you can catch me co-hosting Sexy Saturdays, with the host of The Artists Loft, playwright, actress, and CEO of GiWiz Productions, LLC, Gwendolyn Adams-Evans and author Doris Bibbs. I reside on the East Coast, a divorced, yet not single, mother of three wonderful young men, who range between the ages of twenty and nine and one dynamic drama queen who is thirteen.
