He left Sprint in 2000 to pursue his own independent interests. A graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City MO he attended the 1999 - 2000 Executive Fellows group and received his Masters of Business Administration in 2000. A father of one son, Andrew, DeLong recently became a first-time grandfather with the birth of a new baby Grayson Wren DeLong who was born on 1/28/11 to his son Andrew and Jillian Wren. Doug DeLong currently resides in Independence, Missouri.
