About Me: I am choosing to pursue my passions by taking time out from the 'norm'. There are many people saying that at 40 something I should be in a 9 to 5 job, paying off a mortgage and accepting mediocre as my dish in life. Well I have decided that I am not satisfied with working in a job that does not inspire me to work harder, to be my best. I am nothing like mediocre.
I want to laugh and have fun, to be challenged. I am out there doing things that I would never have dreamed of doing a few years ago, like living a basic existence for 6 weeks on an island in the Gulf of Thailand off Cambodia. Scuba diving twice a day completing reef fish surveys and looking for seahorses. I have also jumped out of an airplane at 13 000ft in an tandem skydive in San Diego. And I do Volunteer work with non profit organisations.
My list of must do's is increasing and I am excited not knowing what is number 4 or 5 because I am confident that I will know what they are put in front of me. I am not in fear of the unknown.
I am now visiting cities and rural communities to learn more about the local people, submerse myself in the culture and local food.
My new motto to life is: I want to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that." Than to look back and say: "I wish i did that."
