About Vates
Vates is a band from the Ffestiniog area in Gwynedd, playing in a variety of styles, including Ska and Dub. Dewi Prysor is the band's main vocalist, and they sing for a number of contemporary issues, as well as completely uncomfortable issues. The band was formed early in the new millennium, and Iwan 'Oz' Jones is the band's lead guitarist, formerly from Anweledig . Their first album "Assault of the Contiation of the Rebus Sea from Beyond the Cyrtans" was released on the Bos Recordings label in June 2007 . They perform in a number of local festivals, such as the Wild Car Festival, relatively often.
