Review by Dede Yusup Muharom

Tilburi's Rough Life album is a compelling collection of tracks that showcases the band's unique sound and style. The album features a diverse range of songs that blend elements of rock, folk, and blues, creating a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. The lyrics are poignant and introspective, exploring themes of love, loss, and the struggles of everyday life.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Rough Life," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The band's tight musicianship is on full display here, with each member contributing to the driving rhythm and infectious melody. Other standout tracks include "Lost in Your Eyes," a haunting ballad that showcases the band's softer side, and "Broken Dreams," a bluesy rocker that features some impressive guitar work.

Throughout the album, Tilburi's vocals are soulful and emotive, conveying the depth and emotion of the lyrics. The band's sound is anchored by a solid rhythm section, with the drums and bass providing a solid foundation for the guitar and vocals to shine.

About Tilburi

Tílburi was a folk band trio: José Luis Barceló (acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica, violin and vocals), Antonio Rentería (12-strings acoustic guitar and vocals) and Luis Granda (acoustic and electric guitars, vocals). They recorded their first LP "¡Al fin!" and it was sang in English. Later, Nano Domínguez (bass, electric guitar and vocals) replaced Luis in the second LP "Alcocebre" and the 7" single Sylvia, sang in Spanish, with a more mediterranean sound. They split in 1977. Domínguez went to "La Romántica Banda Local".{;}Tilburi. Icelandic punk band.
