Sinikka Langeland - The Land That Is Not

Sinikka Langeland's album, The Land That Is Not, is a masterpiece of Nordic folk music. The Norwegian musician and composer has created a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs that draw upon traditional Norwegian folk music and mythology, while also incorporating elements of jazz and contemporary classical music.
Langeland's voice is ethereal and otherworldly, perfectly suited to the mystical themes of the album. She is accompanied by a talented ensemble of musicians, including fiddles, harps, and a variety of percussion instruments, creating a rich tapestry of sound that transports the listener to a world of myth and magic.
The Land That Is Not is an album that rewards repeated listening, with each track revealing new layers of complexity and meaning. The songs range from the hauntingly beautiful "Kjerringøy" to the playful and upbeat "Sommersong", showcasing Langeland's versatility as a composer and performer.
