Pre dating God, the latest album by Satan's Host, is a blistering display of black metal mastery. From the opening track, "Descending in the Shadow of Osiris," to the closing epic, "Sovereign," the band delivers a relentless barrage of blast beats, tremolo-picked riffs, and guttural vocals.
What sets Satan's Host apart from other black metal bands is their incorporation of traditional heavy metal elements, such as galloping rhythms and soaring guitar solos. This is particularly evident on tracks like "The Archer," which features a memorable chorus and a standout guitar solo.
Lyrically, Pre dating God explores themes of occultism, ancient civilizations, and the struggles of the human spirit. The album's title track is a particularly haunting meditation on the idea of predestination and the role of the divine in human affairs.
