Sailcat - Motorcycle Mama Rainbow Road

Review by David Kocol

Sailcat's album, Motorcycle Mama Rainbow Road, is a fun and energetic collection of songs that will get listeners in the mood for a road trip. The album is filled with catchy tunes and upbeat rhythms that will keep the party going all night long. The lead singer's gravelly voice is the perfect complement to the band's bluesy sound, adding a touch of grit and soul to each track. Standout songs include the title track, "Motorcycle Mama," which features a memorable guitar riff and sing-along chorus, as well as "Rainbow Road," a feel-good anthem that will have listeners tapping their toes and singing along. Motorcycle Mama Rainbow Road is a must-listen for fans of classic rock and blues, and is sure to be a favorite for anyone looking for a good time.

Thanks for posting. Greetings from the Finland
This was just starting to play on Sirius Radio and my friend shut off the car before I could hear it. SHe said it didn't sound familiar and I said I haven't heard this in over 50 years so I had to find it to play it. WOW! memories came rushing in lol. She said oh yea, I remember it now lol. Since this came out in '72, my hunch is right.....probable been 50 years since I heard it lol! Catchy tune from my teenie bopper years!
and escape to other side of the universe
motorcycle mama....not since then have I heard, I had great taste @12
It was a good decade, this made it better.
They gave the signal to the locals so I can fuck all your xdumbassae
I ♥️ this song! Why? Because I am a Motorcycle Mama! ? (Only it was on a Suzuki GS 1000)
idk why, but i just remember hearing this for the first time in the radio whilst waiting for my mom in the airport
Loved this song as a little kid. Used to bug the hell out of the radio DJ to play it (along with Shaft) while I was learning to ride my Honda 50 Minibike.
In my younger wild days was a stripper. One of the girls used this as her stage entrance. Good memories of beautiful women both inside and out, just trying to make a living like everyone else.
The Sugarcube’s cover turned this into a snarling rock track. Both versions are fantastic.
Bjork did a great cover of this when she was in the Sugarcubes
I swear I first heard this song on the Groovy Ghoulies cartoon back in the day.
That 18 year old girl he's singing to is going to feel differently about him when she's 30 years old.
Love this song...
Another song I'm not sure I've ever heard on radio--except for American Top 40 re-broadcasts.
Perfect song!
they're from West Alabama...they make us proud
"If the chain don't break". LOL. Cool memories. Thanks.
...if the chain don't break. 11 years old thinking just how cool it was.
I remember tie the kanaroo down
a fond memory....
All time favorite tune! It came true for me too! ❤️❤️
It's 2020 and I still love this song!
This one takes me back.. once again, music is an amazing time machine.
Not the original.
My dad says I loved this song as a child. I forgot about it until until I heard this. I see the charm.
