Born on March 10, 1933 in McEwen, Tennessee, USA. Died January 15, 2022. Country music disc jockey, television host Nashville, Tennessee and actor. He gained national fame hosting the syndicated television music series, 'Pop! Goes the Country', from 1974 to 1980 and the nightly Nashville Network television program, 'Nashville Now', from 1983 to 1993. Previously married to (1960 - 1964) (divorced) Inducted into the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame in 1989. In 2007 he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
