Review by Diego Mendoza

Live Electronics At Matsuyama is a collaborative album between the experimental noise artists MSBR and Spastic Colon. The album features an hour-long performance recorded live in Matsuyama, Japan.

The album is a relentless assault of harsh noise, feedback, and distortion. The two artists use a variety of electronics, including synthesizers, pedals, and circuit-bent instruments, to create a dense and chaotic sound. The performance is an intense and immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of what is considered music.

While the album may not be for everyone, fans of noise and experimental music will find much to appreciate here. The energy and intensity of the performance are palpable, and the two artists demonstrate an impressive mastery of their instruments.

1961 - 2005. Koji Tano died on 31 July 2005 at the age of 44. M.S.B.R. (Molten Salt Breeder Reactor), aka Koji Tano, was one of the most respected noise artists to emerge from Japan's vibrant noise/experimental music scene of the 90's. He played with countless other musicians and toured on 4 continents (Asia, Europe, North America and Australia). Much of his material was self-released on his own labels, one of which was dedicated to the production of limited edition cassette releases. MSBR's crushing wall of noise, like 's, managed to tap into a post-human territory of pure absolute volume that seems to have more in common with the unstoppable forces of nature than any form of music.
