Typical miid 1970s malaise. Total tasteless, forgettable nauseating, self-absorbed garbage!!! Mark’s heyday was 1965 through 1968. By 1976, he was more than completely washed-up, three times over. YUCK! Sad.
his 3 albums in the early 70s are some of the best ive heard from that decade. hes one of my favorite artists right now, his voice is similar to denny doherty's another favorite

Wow, thank you so much for posting this. One of my favorites. Came along during a bad time in my life and encouraged me through it. Love the pics posted. God, he was/is such a hunk. Had it bad for him when I was 16. Happy that he is still around - 75, wow! Just heard yesterday that Paul died about 5 years ago. Remember his brother died young and it really hurt him. He said every year he lived beyond that age was a gift. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

Love this track. Mark Lindsay was fantastic on his own. Obviously great with The Raiders, Some of my favs in his solo carreer, Arizona, The Grass Don't Pay No Mind, Miss America and many more.
The main reason this wasn't a hit in 1976 was because this kind of music was (sadly) out of date, It sounded like his 1970 hits. By that year those kind of pop arrangements were replaced by disco. It doesn't take anything away from the quality of this song though.
"Sing Your Own Song" entered the Cashbox 'Looking Ahead" chart 8/8/76. In this age of deep political correctness, more people should absorb the message of freedom.
