The duo lives in Santiago de Chile. Both began experimenting with electronic sounds in the late 90s.
Argenis Brito already set high standards for the complete genre of latinotronics with his productions for Senior Coconut, Pink Elln, Atom or Chilean superstar Jorge Gonzalez.
Pier Buccis first release can be listened to on the compilation 'Austral' on the Chilean label Ruta 5. In 1999, he founded the project Skipsapiens together with his colleague Daniel Nieto. In 2000, during the same period of time the production of the Mambotur songs occurred, he released an album of concrete music entitled 'Music for Architecture'.
With their releases on the Frankfurt based label Multicolor Mambotour made their breakthrough in the European electronic music scene.
