Los Locos, a band well known in Asturias (Spain), began his musical career in the early eighties having won the first contest of the 40 principales radio. They became famous with songs like "Estas en New York" or " Recuerda Marrakesh ". For years they were the reference of the Asturian pop music, they edited five albums, with unrepeatable songs , pretty melodies that stuck on the singer and bass player Carlos Redondo with his wonderful voice and great talent as a bassist. Group member was also Paco " Loco ". When the group splitted he joined Australian Blonde and is currently based in Cádiz, he is now a known music producer .
Carlos Redondo was very popular in Asturias for being the icon of Los Locos, he was the soul of the band along with Paco " Loco " and Jaime Beláustegui, plus of course the fourth ' Loco ' Boni Pérez , lyricist of the band . Los Locos have been , without a doubt , one of the finest and personal pop bands of the eighties in Spain and at the same time one of the most popular and influential combos of the Asturian music of all time. Carlos " Loco " was also well known for having exercised an immaculate work as a teacher at the Taller de Músicos of Gijón, as a member of Felpeyu in the 90's, as a producer of bands of the Xixón Sound, as a cultural dynamic and a endearing prankster. One of the most personal and inimitable voices of Asturian music and a master in pop, soul, folk or whatever necessary . Sadly passed away in June 2006 , has left an irreplaceable mark on the Asturian musical panorama and those who were faithful followers of the band.
Jaime Belaustegui has been part of Los Ilegales, besides producing other people remains one of the best drummers of Spain .
