Review by Chris Moody

Lonnie Glosson's album "Poppin The Blues" is a masterpiece of traditional blues music. The album features Glosson's signature harmonica skills, combined with his soulful and powerful vocals, creating a sound that is both raw and refined. Glosson's ability to convey emotion through his music is evident in every track, whether it's the upbeat "Blues For Two", or the melancholic "Lonesome Road Blues".

The album is a testament to Glosson's skill as a musician and his deep understanding of the blues genre. Glosson's harmonica playing is particularly impressive, with his mastery of the instrument evident in every note. His vocals are equally impressive, with a range and depth that perfectly complements the music.

The production on the album is also top-notch, with each track expertly mixed to bring out the best in Glosson's performance. The result is an album that is both timeless and contemporary, showcasing a musician who is at the top of his game.

When I was only but a wee one, I remember meeting this odd fellow, a guy by the name of Bill Wilson.... he was not related to my Father's family, aunts, and other cousins who were also Wilsons. He was always at family reunions and picnics.... and in even more intimate settings; always jamming away on his guitar and singing. Turns out, he was quite a living legend himself, though I did not know it at the time. Bill Wilson of Indiana, I will have to make it a point to look him up! Cheers!
