From the opening track "Intro" to the closing track "Spiritual Healing," Perry takes listeners on a musical journey that is both captivating and uplifting. The album's standout tracks include "Soul Fire," "Evil Tongues," and "Happy Birthday." These tracks showcase Perry's talent for creating soulful melodies that are both catchy and thought-provoking.

[09 August 2022] I ought to hte this, 'cause it's so embarrassing. If I didn't know better (and I don't know whether I DON'T know better), I'd say that it was barely even reggae. I don't even know what it really was; just trashy dance-pop, I suppose...only taken to ridiculous extremes - to *such* ridiculous extremes that it cannot even be called camp; it exists in a world of its own, a world *beyond* camp , it's sui generis - and with Perry layin' down perhaps the greatest of his many dirty-old-man routines on top of it all. And as such, I don't hte this; truly I think it's a hoot. I'm thrilled by by Perry's opening lines "Advertising for sexy girls/To conquer Heaven..." What does that even mean? I'll never know, but oh, it fires the imagination...And besides, I guess I can't really dismiss this as a dirty-old-man routine, since it *is* addressed not just to any random woman, but to the no-doubt boundlessly patient, hardworking and devoted (for surely anyone who would voluntarily *choose* to cohabitate with Lee Perry [can you *imagine* ?! The cleaning alone! The sweeping-up of ashes, and - no doubt - the scrubbing down and mopping up of other, nastier things!] must have been patient, hardworking and devoted indeed) Mireille Ruegg, whom he had only just recently married when he recorded this. My only question is, oh just who were the girlie backup singers who sang on this, whose unenviable task it was to warble "Sexy dreams.../Wet, wet dreams!" etc. *without* breaking down in giggles?
P.S: "From Hanover/Come take me over..." is a dead good line, I think. Does anyone have the full lyric-sheet to this? I know perfectly well that one doesn't listen to Perry for his lyrics - one listens for his sounds, and for his *vibe* - but I figure I'd like to read the lyrics in full. I like that he describes himself as Mireille's sexy elf and sexy gnome; he always was (even at his silliest, like here) a magic figure. He never was an ordinary man. R.I.P.
