Unfortunately you can hear the sad sub par vocality of Paul Stanley, There is an old saying, “If you don’t use it you Lose it” This recording is the unfortunate proof of that saying.. Most singers of the 60’s and 70’s era didn’t practice their vocals on a regular basis, The throat and voice is a muscle that has to be practiced and exercised daily or on a regular basis..
Several cases in point, 83 year old Frankie Valli of the “Four Seasons” fame sounds exactly the same today as he did back in the late 50’s, Sammy Hagars soaring voice sounds the same as it did back in the 70’s, these singers practiced regularly and it shows! Unfortunately Paul’s voice is very strained and limited I personally don’t know how he manages! But it appears Gene is hanging in their and Eric is definitely holding his own! As for Tommy his chops are phenomenal! I just hope Paul can finish out this final tour with a bang, I wish Kiss the best…
