Electrocutioner's latest album, Wretch In Order, is a relentless onslaught of brutal death metal that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning fans of the genre. From the opening track, "Ritualistic Slaughter," to the closing number, "Into the Abyss," the band never lets up with their ferocious, riff-heavy assault.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Chaos Reigns," which features some particularly blistering guitar work and a pummeling rhythm section. The vocals, courtesy of frontman John Smith, are suitably guttural and add to the overall sense of aggression that permeates the record.
Another highlight is "The Cleansing," which features some more intricate guitar work and a bit of a groove to it. The song is a bit more mid-paced than some of the other tracks on the album, but it still manages to pack a punch.
Wretch In Order is a solid effort from Electrocutioner, and one that should appeal to fans of brutal death metal. While the band doesn't necessarily break new ground with this record, they do what they do well, and that's enough to make it a worthwhile addition to any metalhead's collection.
