Review by Isabel Gil Alonso

Dub Plate Style, the album by reggae legend Delroy Wilson, is a classic masterpiece of the genre. Released in 1978, the album features ten tracks of pure, authentic Jamaican dub, showcasing Wilson's soulful vocals and the raw, unfiltered sound of the era.

The album opens with the title track, a heavy, bass-driven tune that sets the tone for the rest of the record. From there, Wilson delivers a series of classic reggae tracks, including "I'm Still Waiting," "I'm in a Dancing Mood," and "Rain from the Skies." Each song is infused with Wilson's signature style, blending traditional reggae rhythms with his own unique vocal style.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "I Don't Know Why," a soulful ballad that showcases Wilson's incredible range and emotional depth. The track is a perfect example of the power of Jamaican dub, with its stripped-down sound and powerful lyrics.
